Oconee Kennel is located in the countryside of beautiful southeastern Georgia. We take pride in producing quality puppies and providing superb bird dog training for hunters and field trialers. We thoroughly enjoy leading bird dogs on their journey into becoming high class bird dogs! Dogs from our training program not only make excellent hunting companions, they are also athletic performance dogs that are highly successful in field trial competitions across the country. Each dog is evaluated before entering our program. A custom training plan is designed to meet the needs of each individual dog and the specific goals of individual clients. After completing of our training program, these dogs are often handled by their amateur owners in field trial competitions, and they are bringing home the blue! At Oconee Kennel, we begin by discussing goals for prospective client’s dog(s). Each dog is thoroughly evaluated before training commences. Each dog is trained as an individual for their unique type and need. Our goal is to see our clients being successful with their dog in whichever venues they may choose; hunting, hunt tests, field trials or basic obedience. We succeed when you and your dog are successful together! We do not do much breeding, preferring instead to focus our attention on our clients dogs, however, we probably can refer you to places where you can find good AKC puppies.
